There are several reasons for this:
- Plugin updates sometimes contain bugs. By updating less frequently, the plugin developer can fix these bugs before adding them to your WordPress site.
- Grouping updates together makes manual review easier. Therefore, there is less chance that something bad will happen to your website.
- We will perform all these updates over the weekend when most websites receive less traffic. As a result, you will experience fewer issues and a safer environment.
We always make an exception for a significant plugin update like WooCommerce. If major updates are released, we’ll make the updates more slowly to ensure that your website runs smoothly without any hiccups.
