WebCare.live manages websites by updating plugins, themes, and core files. We take care of:
- Testing before updates are made (when necessary)
- Performing updates according to our safe procedure
- Ensure that all designs and functionality are intact after updates have been made
Before updating, full backups are taken #
Our engineers will perform a full backup of your core files and database before we begin to execute a set of updates. Your safety is our priority!
WordPress updates are performed by our engineers every week. #
This is a safer option than daily updates because it prevents a developer from releasing a new version with a security bug and then updating the plugin or theme.
WebCare.Live handles them safely during low-traffic hours #
Any issues around updates won’t negatively affect your website when most of your users are online.
If necessary, updates can be performed on staging first #
If you’d like, we can also perform the updates on your staging server before pushing them live for an additional layer of security.
This is especially useful for websites with advanced functionality like WooCommerce, membership, etc.
What about premium plugins from third-party developers? #
We will gladly perform the necessary updates for all plugins purchased by you or us, including WooCommerce Subscriptions. Using WeTransfer or another service, you can provide log-in information for the plugin account you purchased or send us the updated file and license. We need only the plugin and licenses for updating it.
We will not purchase or pay for any premium plugins or licenses on your behalf. Instead, you will be required to do so directly with the plugin developer.
